It’s not every day that something you might buy to adorn your shelves could also adorn your digital self, butĀ Final Fantasy XIV aims to make it one of those days. A new “Meister-quality” figurine of series boss Omega is now up for pre-order on the Square Enix Store. To sweeten the deal, the item comes with a code redeemable for an in-game emote, “Ballroom Etiquette – Omega Simulations.”
The officialĀ Final Fantasy XIV Twitter account shared a preview of the emote via a post:

Omega is a recurringĀ Final FantasyĀ boss character, first appearing inĀ Final Fantasy V, and then again throughout the series, usually as a challenging optional boss fight. TheĀ Final Fantasy XIV incarnation of Omega is a dimension-hopping quadrupedal superweapon, first mentioned during theĀ A Realm Reborn scenario, and appearing for the first time in theĀ HeavenswardĀ expansion. Omega then plays a major role in the raids of theĀ Stormblood expansion, as well as making appearances inĀ Shadowbringers.
The Meister-quality figurine itself depicts Omega’s alternative form, appearing as two humanoids, one presenting as male and the other as female. The humanoids stand atop Omega’s quadrupedal form, wielding a sword and staff and surrounded by the translucent, bar-shaped magical effects. The figurine stands 6.3″ tall including the base.
Being a Meister-qualityĀ Final Fantasy XIVĀ figurine, its price tag is also on the higher side. Square Enix is charging $229.99 for the figure, which will be released in January 2021. As such, it would be inadvisable to order the thing if all one wants is the emote. Those that would rather have a more affordable figure can consider the upcoming Y’shtola Bring Arts action figure, which releases in November.
