As with previous Community Days, Fletchling spawn rates will be significantly higher, as will the chances of encountering a shiny Fletchling. Evolving your Fletchinder up to two hours after the event will also net you a Talonflame that knows Incinerate, a fire-type move only available to five other Pokemon. A Community Day Box will be available again with special goodies, and a Special Research Story called "The Bravest Bird" will be purchasable for $1. Event bonuses will include 3x Catch XP and incense that will last three hours.

This is the first Community Day to feature a Pokemon from the Kalos region. In December 2020, Niantic added the region’s Pokemon to Pokemon GO.

Niantic will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pokemon with a special Pokemon GO Tour Kanto Event in February 2021. The event will last until February 27, 2021 and feature a wide variety of new challenges and a story quest to complete. Tickets for the Tour will be available until February 20, 2021.

Pokemon GO is available on iOS and Android devices.
