Back in April 2020, QubicGames confirmed it would be bringing some indie games like Door Kickers and Good Night, Knight to the Nintendo Switch. Now we have a release date for one of them, thanks to Nintendo’s eShop. The Dex Switch port will appear on July 24, 2020, thus sort of fulfilling a promise along the way. [Thanks, Nintendo Everything!]
See, the game was on Kickstarter back in December 2013, hoping to get enough funding to be made. A Dex Wii U version was among the stretch goals, which was released before the campaign ended. While it did have a tentative 2015 release window for the system, it didn’t happen. An “enhanced” version of Dreadlocks’ game ended up showing up on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation Vita in 2016, but that Wii U version never happened. But then, in April 2020, QubicGames held its own “direct” and confirmed the Dex Switch version was in the works.
As for Dex itself, players follow Dex in a cyberpunk world. An organization is after her, though she isn’t quite sure why. You determine how you proceeed through Harbor Prime, the town she finds herself in, and determine what happens to her via the choices you make.
Here’s a trailer from QubicGames:
The Dex Switch version will arrive on July 24, 2020. It is immediately available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and PC. It was also even available on Ouya Early Access.
