How to get the Going Goblin Mode Achievement in World of Warcraft

One of the smaller additions brought with the Undermine update was the ability to choose from a variety of new campsites for your character select screen, the most luxurious of which is the Gallagio Grand Gallery. To get this new homescreen, however, you’ll need to complete a multi-part achievement that consists of 6 other tasks, so to help make things easier here’s how to earn the Going Goblin Mode achievement in World of Warcraft.

The Gallagio Grand Gallery campsite is obtained as a reward for the achievement Going Goblin Mode, which was added in WoW’s Undermine(d) update. This meta-achievement consists of 6 sub-achievements, and the campsite will be automatically awarded on completion of all of them. The Gallagio Grand Gallery can be used by going to your character select screen and choosing the Campsite option at the top, before choosing it from your unlocked campsites.

How to earn the Adventurer of Undermine Achievement

This achievement requires you to complete 10 “special encounters” in Undermine, but what it really means is kill 10 different Rare monsters. There are around 21 different Rares in the zone in total, and you can find them easily enough by checking your minimap for silver arrows and markers that point out their location. You’ll want to be taking down any rares you can anyway, as they often drop better loot and renown bonuses, so keep an eye out for them as you complete the story of Undermine or work on other achievements. Additionally, certain addons like RareScanner can help warn you when there are rares nearby.

There are also some special Rares that are intended for groups, including the Secret Cartel Rares, so check your map regularly to see if any are in progress.

How to earn the Treasures of Undermine Achievement

Working much like the previous entry except for hidden treasures instead of Rare monsters. The other difference is you need to find all 15 entries, rather than just 10. Since treasures are also marked on the map this is another one you can progress towards as you do other tasks, but when you decide you want to fill out those last few treasures we have a guide with all their locations and coordinates.

How to earn the Nine-Tenths of the Law Achievement

In several places in Undermine are several locked chests called Muff’s Auto-Lockers. Clicking on them allows you to attempt to solve a series of puzzles involving entangled electrical wires, each increasing in difficulty. Click a peg to select it, then select another peg to swap their positions and repeat until none of the wires cross each other. The first few are straightforward, but some of the last ones can be intimidating. Keep in mind where the lines connect and focus on untangling one at a time.

You can find the locations of all 5 of Muff’s Auto-Lockers in our guide, as well as how to assemble the Gorillion pet earned from them.

How to earn the Read Between the Lines Achievement

Another collectible-hunting achievement, this time looking for lore books hidden around the city. Simply click on all 7 of them to earn the achievement, and no you won’t be tested on what’s actually written in there (though it is occasionally quite funny). You can see where to find each of the lore books in our handy guide, but they are also marked on your minimap should you wish to hunt for them yourself. Once finished, you’ll also receive a toy called the Desk-in-a-Box that allows you to summon a nice little reading desk wherever you are in the world.

While most of the other achievements in this list can be accomplished at any time, this one specifically cannot be completed until you have finished chapter 4 of the Undermine story campaign as there are several books that simply do not spawn until that point.

How to earn the That Can-Do Attitude Achievement

This is the simplest of the Going Goblin Mode achievements to earn in WoW, but perhaps a little tedious. There are Discarded Cans all around Undermine that you can kick by interacting with them, and you’ll need to do that 25 times for this achievement. Luckily, each can be kicked 2-3 times (or potentially more!) before despawning, but other than that there are no real tricks to this one. Like with the Adventurer achievement, this is best done as you complete other tasks. Simply keep an eye out for that tell-tale sparkle, and kick them wherever you can.

How to earn the You’re My Friend Now Achievement

Finally, there are 5 Grabbable Rats hidden around that you can click on to ‘befriend’, placing them on your shoulder. Finding all 5 nets you this achievement, but sadly not a pet. Once again, you can find all of their locations in our achievement guide. And yes, you can return to put them back on your shoulder, though the buff only lasts 10 minutes.

Finish each of these achievements to earn Going Goblin Mode, and the Gallagio Grand Gallery ‘campsite’ is yours in World of Warcraft. Additionally, you can read about how to get the You’re My Friend Now Achievement here.

Both World of Warcraft and The War Within expansion are available on PC and Mac.
