<< How to read and understand sales

Last week, Nintendo released Splatoon in Japan, and the multiplayer shooter sold 144,818 copies in its first week on store shelves. That’s a respectable figure by Wii U standards, and had the game not sold out at launch, it would likely have sold even better.

While Splatoon took the #1 spot on the software sales chart, the #2 spot went to Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX. This is a remixed edition of the first two Project Mirai games, and is also the version of the game that Sega will release in North America and Europe later this year.
