In the article about the Axiom Verge 2 delay, there was also a brief comment about it from the developer. Thomas Happ said that it "will be better for the additional time."

This is the second time the Axiom Verge 2 release date was delayed. First, it had a Fall 2020 release window. But when October 2020 rolled around, it ended up pushed into early 2021. It did make a Future Games Show 2021 appearance, however. In addition, a free Axiom Verge Randomizer mode appeared in the meantime.

As for the free Axiom Verge Making-of Documentary, there is a new place to watch it. The video was a part of Multiverse Edition of the game. Normally, it would cost $5.99. However, it is free to watch on IGN and will eventually also be free on Steam as well.

The new Axiom Verge 2 release date will fall in Q3 2021. It will appear on the Nintendo Switch and PC.
