Once again, Nintendo is giving people a chance to collect one of those Tetris 99 themes they might have missed. This time, it’s happening at an extremely appropriate time. One week before The Crown Tundra DLC arrives for Pokemon Sword and Shield, people will be able to earn the Pokemon Tetris 99 theme from October 2019 again between October 16-19, 2020.

Like all Tetris 99 themes, this one is pretty easy to earn. You just log in during the event, earn 100 points, and you then have the theme to use forever in your copy of the game. The theme is also in effect throughout the duration of the event. As usual, you need an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription to participate.

Nintendo’s been giving people a lot of chances to get old Tetris 99 themes again in 2020. Previously, people had a second shot to get the ones inspired by Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Ring Fit Adventures.
Tetris 99 is available for the Nintendo Switch and can be played online if you have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The Pokemon Sword and Shield theme will be available to earn between October 16-19, 2020.
