Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time, Now With Really Bushy Eyebrows

By Spencer . October 13, 2009 . 11:43am

Sony altered Ratchet’s design in Japan by giving him ridiculously huge eyebrows. Originally, this quirk was restricted to cover art, but starting with Ratchet & Clank Future the in-game graphics were altered too.

Spyro the Dragon graces the Playstation Store

By Spencer . October 26, 2007 . 2:25am

Downloadable PS1 games are so rare outside of Japan that the (re-)release of Spyro the Dragon deserves a post of its own. You can snag Insomniac’s second Playstation game from the US Playstation Store for $5.99.   Remember that Piyotama Halloween skin we mentioned before? No? We’ll its up there now along with Rachel Master […]

Are more PS1 classics coming to the Playstation 3 soon?

By Spencer . September 8, 2007 . 3:35pm

Unlike Japan, PS1 classics sporadically appear on the Playstation Store and Spyro: The Dragon may be next. The ESRB rated Spyro for the PS3/PSP with a predictable E rating. Hopefully, this will be the first in a new batch of cheap Playstation Classics. Intelligent Qube, Einhander and Tomba could have a second chance at commercial […]

Ratchet’s new (happier?) look for Japan

By Spencer . July 25, 2007 . 2:04pm

I knew something was off in the Japanese trailer for Ratchet & Clank Future and it’s the way Ratchet looks. In Japan, Sony coined Ratchet like a Disney character with big bushy eyebrows and a cheek to cheek grin. Most of the time Ratchet’s kid-friendly demeanor is restricted to the cover art, but not in […]

By Spencer . July 16, 2007 . 12:06am

The E3 demo for Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction was based on the trailer Sony showed at their Gamers Day back in May. Like the other games in the series you play as Ratchet and Clank, his tiny robotic sidekick, is strapped to his back. Metropolis is under siege and the goal in […]

Resistance Fall of Man roundtable interview

By Spencer . November 21, 2006 . 10:37am

Out of all the exclusive Playstation 3 launch titles, Resistance: Fall of Man has been getting the most attention. Resistance: Fall of Man is developed by the same company that brought you Ratchet & Clank, but it has a grittier war style instead of the cartoon world in Ratchet. To learn more about the title […]

Famitsu posts PS3 game scores

By Spencer . November 1, 2006 . 6:28am

Review scores aren’t necessarily a fair indicator whether a game is good or bad or if a system is going to fly or fail. They are just numbers after all, but here is what Famitsu thinks of the PS3 launch titles.   Ridge Racer 7 (PS3, Namco Bandai): 9, 9, 9, 9 – (36/40) Resistance: […]
