Check out the “Monster Hunter Rise TV Commercial Teaser Compilation” video below. It gives us a glimpse of Khezu at the 0:15 mark. Other than that, the commercial mostly consists of footage from the TGA 2020 trailer.

Khezu originally appeared in the very first Monster Hunter game for the PlayStation 2. The wyvern previously appeared in Monster Hunter 4 and Monster Hunter Generations. It did not appear in Monster Hunter: World.

We also got another look at the recently revealed new monsters Somnacanth and Bishaten in the ad. Somnacanth is a Leviathan that looks similar to Mizutsune. Bishaten is a new Fanged Beast that is similar to Kecha Wacha, and it will have the ability to throw and store fruit.

Monster Hunter Rise won’t introduce new weapons, but it will feature various new actions and moves for all fourteen weapons. Check out the weapon trailers to see what’s changed:

Monster Hunter Rise will release worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021. A demo will appear for a limited time in January 2021.
