Ramayana’s Hanuman is the Star of the New SMT V Video

The next Shin Megami Tensei V video is here. This time, Atlus shows how the Genma character Hanuman looks in SMT V. The character is inspired by the hero of the same name from India’s Ramayana.

Hanuman is one of those characters who has been a part of the series since the original Megami Tensei on the Famicom, before also showing up in Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Devil Survivor installments. In the SMT V trailer, we see Hanuman as an encounter in the world map and as an ally in battle. He uses Masukunda+1 to decrease his enemies’ agility at one point, then physical and wind-based attacks to fell foes.

As usual, the Hanuman SMT V video closes with a teaser for the next demon. Its identity appears to be Naga. The half-person/half-snake silhouette and large, circular shield match the character’s past art.

There will be 214 demons in SMT V, and each one will get a video as part of this ongoing series. Here are the last 20 to show up.

  1. Narcissus
  2. Legion
  3. Hayatarou
  4. Manananggal
