Just like clockwork, Atlus is back with two more Shin Megami Tensei V demon trailers. This brings the total of trailers to 171, and the company has promised to release a trailer highlighting each of the 214 demons making appearances in SMT V. The trailers show the creatures being summoned, how they appear in battle, and at times how they interact with the world. The two demons appearing in the October 23, 2021 SMT V trailers are Yoshitsune and Azumi, both recurring demons from the series.
Yoshitsune made his first appearance in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner, and resembles a famous figure in Japanese history. The demon was also featured in Persona 4 and Persona 5.
Azumi refers to an ancient tribe of water gods in Japanese mythology. The creature first made its appearance in the 1992 title Shin Megami Tensei for the Super Famicom.
