Capcom USA are pushing for the company’s future fighting games to have better single-player content, says senior VP Christian Svensson.
Capcom’s rights with Tatsunoko lapsed “fairly recently,” so they are no longer allowed to sell Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom appeared to be in shaky localization territory, but after a few revisions and additions it made its way to North America a year later. And this version is the “ultimate” version.
When developing the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars Capcom talked to Tatsunoko Productions about using the Samurai Pizza Cats.

“In 2010, you won’t see as many Wii games from Capcom, but the ones we release will be much larger, event-size games,” said Chris Kramer, senior director of communications and community at Capcom.

Capcom officially announced another (previously leaked) Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars character. Yatterman No. 2 is on the roster.

Ryota Niitsuma, Producer of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, posted a Happy New Years blog which hints at an overseas announcement.
Contrary to the box art, the ESRB description says Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars has 26 selectable fighters.
Instead of charging another 5,980 yen ($65) – the original price of Cross Generation of Heroes, Ultimate All-Stars is 3,990 yen ($44).
